METHODOLOGY
Edge
Solutions have been developed to help companies at every stage in
the corporate lifecycle to keep their strategic "Edge" over
their marketplace, banks, creditors and employees. While each is very
different, the Edge Solutions all follow the same broad methodology.
First, there is an intake
meeting one-to-one with the CEO to enable Edge to understand
the companys goals, strategy, positioning and challenges, allow
Edge to identify the information needed and agree a timetable for fieldwork.
Next, the Edge
Team performs an analysis that draws on their experience by
focusing exclusively on the key areas and bypassing the trivia that can
otherwise bog down and slow down analysis.
Once the initial analysis is
completed, Edge produces an action-oriented report that
is discussed with the CEO. It is delivered in a format designed to get
agreement from the management team as to actions to be taken and set up
accountability for their implementation.
Once the CEO has approved it,
Edge presents the plan for discussion and review by the companys
senior management at a special meeting. During the meeting, Edge
drives the adoption of an action plan incorporating individual
commitments to action items and their specific completion dates.
After the action plan is finalized, a number of follow up meetings are
scheduled, all attended by Edge. Through this mechanism, Edge
effectively holds managements feet to the fire, ensuring
effective implementation and the meeting of critical deadlines.
The result is a streamlined, efficient and effective process that draws
upon the experience of the Edge team to complete analysis as quickly
as possible, to help build consensus and accountability and to ensure
that implementation happens.
